ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 

There are certain age restrictions. Age of undergraduates at the moment of enrollment should not exceed 25 years; for postgraduates it should be not more than 35 years.

Your health should be in good condition.

You should have High School Diploma/Certificate and Preadmission Department Certificate to apply for an under-graduate study admission;

You should have Ukrainian University's Bachelor Diploma to apply for a graduate study admission;

You should have Ukrainian University's Master Diploma to apply for a post-graduate study admission;

Admission to the Bachelor Degree program requires High School Diploma/Certificate and Preadmission Department Certificate. An applicant is supposed to pass, with sufficiently high grades, a test either in Ukrainian, Russian, or English, and 2 tests in 2 core subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, etc.) .

All applicants should fill in an Application and submit copies of Passport (only first page with photo), Diploma/Certificate, and Transcript translated into either Ukrainian, Russian, or English.

Admission to the Master Degree program requires Ukrainian University Bachelor’s Diploma with sufficiently high grades. An applicant is supposed to have completed a test either in Ukrainian, Russian, or English languages, and a test in the core subject of specialization with sufficiently high grades.

All applicants should submit an Application and copies of Passport (only first page with photo), Diploma/Certificate, and Transcript translated into either Ukrainian, Russian, or English.

Admission to the Ph.D. program requires Ukrainian University's Master Diploma in a related field with sufficiently high grades and proven research ability. An applicant is supposed to have a test either in Ukrainian, Russian, or English Language, and a test in core subject of specialization with sufficiently high grades.

All applicants shall fill in an Application and submit copies of Passport (only first page with photo), Diploma/Certificate, and Transcript translated into either Ukrainian, Russian, or English, and a personal statement specifying the advancement of learning and research.

Admission to the D.Sc. program requires Ph.D. Degree in a related field. An applicant shall be required to give proof of distinction by some original contribution to the advancement of science and learning. An applicant shall specify the published works, providing a summary of the field of research covered by these works in Ukrainian, Russian, or English.

All applicants should fill in an Application and submit copies of Passport (only first page with photo), Diplomas/Certificates, and Transcripts translated into either Ukrainian, Russian, or English.

 

How to Apply to NTUU KPI

 

To apply to NTUU KPI you must fill online Application. To submit an Application you need to know the Degree and Specialization/Academic Program you plan to receive, the Institute or College you plan to study in; you need to decide the source of funding, and to open an online account. You shall submit also the copies of your Passport (only first page with photo), Diplomas/Certificates, and Transcripts translated either in Ukrainian, Russian, or English.

All international students who come to study at NTUU KPI are offered one year intensive study of Ukrainian language or Russian Language, which will be the main language of teaching, and to improve their knowledge of main subjects according to the future Degree, e.g. mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc., at the Preparatory School of NTUU KPI.

 

If your Application is accepted:

 

1. Upon reviewing your Application Form and attached documents, we will send you an official answer from NTUU KPI to your e-mail address.

2. After receiving a positive answer from us, you can pay the tuition fee online by credit card. To get secured access to online Payment system you should have an online Account (section My Account). If you are freshman (first year student), you must also pay 65 USD once during your study for your very first semester at NTUU KPI, in order to receive an Invitation for Study.

3. Upon receiving your tuition fee on the NTUU KPI bank account, we will send you an Invitation for Study by courier mail services at the recepient's expense.

4. You should inform NTUU KPI International Faculty when you receive an Invitation for Study by e-mail: nabor@mf.ntu-kpi.kiev.ua .

5. You can pay the Medical Emergency Insurance, Medical Coverage, Residence Registration Fee, Housing & Utilities Fee upon your arrival to NTUU KPI.

 

Conditions of Admission

 

The study at the University is not free of charge. Please see Tuition and Fees for tuition charges and payment schedule.

All international students are obliged to annually buy a medical insurance for the whole period of education and sign an agreement for medical services.

During your study at the University you may live in the University Hostel or outside University Campus. The University housing is not expensive. If you decide to reside in the University Hostel, you will need to sign the Contract for Residency in the University Hostel and to pay inexpensive University housing fee.

Students must arrive at least ONE or two days before academic year begins (see Academic Schedule).

The University can offer the transportation from the port of entry (airport, railway station, etc. in Kiev) to the University, or to your desired destination in Kiev. University transportation fee is inexpensive. If you wish to be picked up and greeted, please inform the International Faculty about the date, the time of arrival, and the flight number FIVE days before arrival to Ukraine by Telephone/Fax: +(38)(044)2416736 or e-mail: nabor@mf.ntu-kpi.kiev.ua .

Students should present themselves in the Enrollment Office of the International Faculty by the address: 7-A Metalistiv St., Kiev 03056, Ukraine not later than in THREE days upon arrival to Ukraine with Passport and Student Visa, in order to submit and to sign all necessary documents and forms. Upon your arrival to the University International Department, you will sign the Study Contract. The applicant, or any other person/company who will pay the tuition fee can sign the Contract.

 

Documents Required for Admission

 

1. High School Certificate/Diploma with Transcript (marks, grades in subjects), and

Certified Copy of High School Certificate/Diploma with Transcript translated in Ukrainian, Russian or English, if the originals are issued in a language other than Ukrainian, Russian or English;

2. Certified (Apostille) and legalized Copy of High School Diploma/Certificate with Transcript (marks, grades in subjects) in accordance with the legislation of the country it was issued in.

3. Medical Certificate proving AIDS absence issued not later than two weeks prior to your arrival to Ukraine;

4. Certified Copy of Medical Certificate proving AIDS absence in Ukrainian, Russian, or English, if the original Certificate is written in the language other than Ukrainian, Russian, or English;

5. Medical Health Certificate certified by Health Board Official in the country of residence. This certificate has to be issued not later than two months prior to your arrival to Ukraine;

6. Copy of Medical Health Certificate legalized and certified (Apostille) in accordance with the legislation of the country it was issued in;

7. Copy of Birth Certificate legalized and certified (Apostille) in accordance with the legislation of the country it was issued in;

8. Certified copy of Birth Certificate in Ukrainian, Russian, or English if the original Certificate is issued in the language other than Ukrainian, Russian, or English;

9. Six (6) photos 60x40 mm;

10. Return ticket valid for one year;

11. Official Invitation for Study;

12. Proof of your financial solvency;

13. Passport with Student’s Visa (O) (shall be presented personally).

These papers must also be presented personally at the point of entry to Ukraine.

As an international student, you will need to get an International Passport, and to apply for Ukrainian Student Visa (O) at an Embassy (Consulate) of Ukraine in your country of residence. You have to submit an official Study Invitation to an Embassy (Consulate) of Ukraine along with other required documents. To apply for a visa, please check visa application requirements and procedures at the web site of Ukrainian Embassy (Consulate), or call Ukrainian Embassy (Consulate) that is in your country of residence. Ukrainian Student Visa has to be extended every semester beginning from the second semester of education.
